7-23-20: Regina Announces Search for New Head of School
July 23, 2020
Dear Regina Family, As many of you know, we recently conducted a growth and vitality study with the Meitler consulting firm. We are delighted to report that their findings were quite positive and they noted a number of strengths at Regina Catholic Education Center.
- Current students and their parents praise the school’s Catholic identity and close-knit community, often describing it as a family.
- There is an expressed appreciation for the faculty and administrative staff.
- The pastors of the four parishes are supportive and play a vital role in the operations of the school.
We will share more with you in the future as we work to update Regina’s strategic plan. Thank you for contributing to our vibrant experience of academic excellence and faith formation. Your thoughts and comments, along with your continued support are vital to Regina and key to the success of our students.
A number of Meitler recommendations have been shared and will be used in strengthening our school community. You will begin seeing these recommendations implemented throughout the year. One of the most important is the realignment of our current leadership structure by appointing a new position of Head of School.
Toward this end, after careful consideration we have engaged Catholic School Management (CSM), a division of Christian Brothers Services, to conduct a national search for this position. CSM has served 3,000+ schools and dioceses across the country in the areas of strategy, planning, and leadership and we welcome their expertise. Our goal is to find an individual who can provide dynamic, effective, faith-filled leadership and take our school to the next level of excellence.
We are developing a job description and forming a search committee, and will soon invite your participation through a survey to help identify the priorities for this position and the qualifications you feel are essential for the Regina Catholic Education Center Head of School.
We will keep you informed of our progress, but starting immediately, we hope you will begin thinking of potential candidates and telling them about the wonders of our school. It is often from personal outreach that the best leader emerges. Or, if you prefer, share the names and contact info with CSM and they will follow up once the search is officially launched. You can send that info to email@example.com.
Blessings to you and yours as summer unfolds. Please stay healthy and keep this initiative, and all our students and families, in your prayers.
Vice Chair Regina Board of Education
